Recognised for growth: Lodestone wins Deloitte Fast 50 regional category
Lodestone Energy has been named the Fastest Growing Business Services company for Auckland and the Upper North Island at the 2026 Deloitte Fast 50 regional awards.
Chris Jewell, Lodestone’s CFO, accepted the award at the Auckland event on the same week Lodestone announced it had successfully received firm commitments for its Initial Public Offering. The company’s listing on the NZX, on Thursday 22 October 2026 is a significant milestone for Lodestone and New Zealand’s capital markets.
The Deloitte Fast 50 recognises New Zealand’s fastest-growing businesses based on revenue growth over three years. Being named in the Business Services category reflects how far Lodestone has come since it was founded in 2019.
Lodestone started with a simple idea: every community should be powered by a local source of solar energy. A handful of people with a big plan has since grown into a team that develops, builds and operates solar farms across New Zealand, from Kaitaia to South Canterbury, and sells the electricity to end consumers. The company now has five operational solar farms generating 266 GWh a year, with another under construction at Ongaonga in Central Hawke’s Bay.
In 2025 Lodestone also became an electricity retailer. Providing supply to iconic New Zealand brands and businesses such as The Warehouse Group, Ingham’s, Hall’s Group and Pink Batts. This year, Lodestone extended its retail offering to homes and small to medium-sized businesses, enabling consumers to benefit from low-cost solar energy.
Lodestone thanks Deloitte Private and BNZ for supporting the awards, and congratulates the other regional winners, including their key partner BraveTrace.
The national Deloitte Fast 50 awards will be hosted in mid-November.
