Leading Kiwi brands join Lodestone Energy’s growing solar customer base

Briscoe Group and Farro sign electricity supply agreements with Lodestone

MEDIA RELEASE:

Lodestone Energy has recently signed electricity supply agreements with Briscoe Group and Farro, adding another group of well-known New Zealand brands to its growing commercial customer base.

The agreements build on Lodestone’s partnerships with other existing well-known brands.

Gary Holden, Managing Director of Lodestone, says the new agreements reflect demand for renewable electricity and greater certainty over energy costs, while reinforcing the confidence leading New Zealand businesses have in Lodestone’s solar model.
“We’re pleased to welcome Briscoe Group and Farro to Lodestone. These are familiar New Zealand brands with different electricity needs, but a shared interest in renewable power and more predictable energy costs,” says Mr Holden.

“Electricity is an important operating cost. Our model helps businesses plan ahead with greater certainty over what they’ll pay, while their commitment supports investment in more solar generation for New Zealand.”

Lodestone is a vertically integrated renewable electricity generator currently selling electricity to commercial and industrial customers and expanding to serve mass market retail customers.

Lodestone already owns and operates five utility-scale solar farms, producing enough electricity to power more than 33,000 average New Zealand homes annually. Its sixth farm is under construction, and the company is targeting 16 to 18 operating solar farms by FY32.

“Growing our customer base and building more solar farms go hand in hand. Signing Briscoe Group and Farro, along with other recent key customer signings, is another step in that growth path, continuing to expand the business,” says Mr Holden.
